'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League return

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently two years through the four-year contract he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the first significant trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he won the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's primary focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract discussions could start in the coming future
  • Kane's remarkable goal-scoring performance continues to amaze
