In a bizarre collaboration that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Revealed

According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden practices and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.

The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an special katana alongside numerous objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
